Your responsibilities:
• Participate in development projects of various Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) items;
• Analyze customer CAD data & vehicle packaging environment;
• Deploy relevant design, development and problem-solving tools, define and support Component/System validation tests;
• Utilize engineering disciplines including Six Sigma, DFMEA, DFM/DFA and CAE to develop robust design solutions, interpret FEA results to drive design to achieve ‘Right First Time’ solutions;
• Work with Electronic, Hardware & Process Engineering teams to develop Integrated ADAS systems;
• Support Global manufacturing to improve and maintain manufacturability;
• Understand and demonstrate a working knowledge of product designs, materials and process technologies fundamental to advanced vision systems.
Our requirements:
• Engineering degree related with mechanical design (Machine Design, Mechatronics, Production Engineering or similar);
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical engineering and design experience, preferably working on development of mechanical hardware for electronic products within automotive business;
• Knowledge of: 1). 3D CAD modelling & techniques (Catia V5 R22 and PTC Creo) and PLM system (Windchill); 2). Plastic Molding, Pressure Die-casting, Metal Pressings 3). Electrical Connection Systems 4). Packaging electronics, vision systems or optical sensors;
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance application;
• Orientation in FEA & simulation techniques (ANSYS) – preferable however not necessary;
• Good level of written and spoken English, including technical terms;
• Flexibility to adapt in an exciting fast paced working environment & Willingness to travel;
• Highly motivated and disciplined in time management.
