The Graduate programme is designed to kickstart your career. The programme is 2 years’ and you will have rotations during that time with clear learning objectives to support your growth. You will be connected to several people, that will give you sparring, guidance and support throughout the whole programme. You will also be offered mentoring, to ensure your personal and professional growth.

In Group Risk and Group Compliance, we are responsible for advising and carrying out monitoring and control of Nordea’s Business Areas and Group Functions. We ensure that Nordea has effective processes to manage and mitigate risks, so the risks are within Nordea’s risk appetite. As the Graduate in our Risk and Compliance functions, you will get an exciting mix of challenges, where you get the chance to gain new knowledge and skills.

We have the possibility to offer graduate positions to the following areas in Group Risk and Group Compliance:

  • BA compliance function – get the chance to advise one of our Business Areas (BA’s) on compliance risks, as well as monitor the compliance with relevant rules and regulations
  • Compliance testing and monitoring services – be part of the central team which are responsible for monitoring and testing that compliance risks are mitigated as intended
  • Credit risk control and model validation – be part of building and overseeing Nordea’s central credit risk processes and the model validation within Nordea
  • Financial risk management and control – get the chance to work with a range of financial risks across the balance sheet including: enterprise wide risk, market risk, counterparty credit risk, valuation risk, capital and liquidity risk and financial reporting risk
  • Management & execution offices – join one of our central offices to be part of developing and optimising solutions, processes and operations and support GR and GC management
  • Operational risk – get the chance to develop our Operational Risk frameworks and be part of engaging with business to monitor and control the operational risks of Nordea
  • Reporting – be part of the central reporting team to produce some of Nordea’s key risk reports
  • Risk management application – get the chance to work with the implementation of a group-wide Governance, Risk & Compliance tool, supporting our Non-Financial Risk Management processes in Nordea
  • Risk model – join the development and maintenance of Nordea’s quantitative risk models on Credit risk, Market risk, Counterparty Credit Risk and on Collective Impairment models

To be a qualified candidate for the Graduate positions, you have:

  • Master’s degree (latest 1st Sept. 2022)
  • A maximum of two years’ post-academic work experience
  • Excellent English language skills
