We are now looking for two Business Analysts with focus on operations to join our existing team of 4 dedicated and passionate Business Analysts who thrive in complex environments and strives for creating relevant and best in class investment services for our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Being part of a team responsible for enabling high quality data sources used for investment advice, customer services, and legal reporting
  • Running processes and identifying improvements for parts of our Business Model
  • Being part of implementing the Strategy on Data for Investment Advice and reporting
  • Setting-up working processes for data governance to ensure we have the correct investment data with the right quality
  • Identifying and define business requirements and support IT developers throughout the development process in an agile setup
  • Being curious about digital and business opportunities as well as trends from other sectors that could be beneficial in our development and priorities
  • Collaborating with different stakeholders across Nordea in a fast-paced and motivating cross-country setting
  • Analyzing existing data sourcing set-up and propose new ways of obtaining the needed data in an simplified manner
  • Supporting IT Operations team with data analysis
  • Supporting Business Analysts/Product Owner in setting up and executing requirements set
  • Working closely together with other internal Nordea clients/stakeholders, including Personal Banking, Private Banking, Business Banking

You’ll join Investment Center, which is the central part of enabling best-in class investment advice and good investment products for Nordea customers. The role is based in Gdansk/Gdynia – Trojmiasto area.

  • Have at least 3 years of experience with business development/analysis in an agile setting
  • You understand the importance of a continued delivery of high quality and have the mindset to improve existing deliveries
  • Have strong analytical competencies – be able to systematically break down data inconsistencies investigate root causes and set up processes to identify the errors in our data and correct them
  • Can drive tasks on your own but equally skilled in facilitating collaboration around tasks while maintaining the customer centric mindset
  • Take ownership and show passion for moving this area to a new level
  • You are able to clearly communicate complex issues in an easy and understandable manner to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Master collaboration in practice – work closely with other SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), involve stakeholders and always asking questions and investigating alternative solutions
  • You are innovative, openminded and excited about bringing your ideas to the table. You strive for continuous improvement and love learning and trying out new things You’re dependable, willing to speak up even when it’s difficult, and committed to empowering others

Your experience and background:

  • Knowledge and experience working with databases and interests in various programming languages such as VBA, Python, SQL, also advanced experience in Excel
  • Knowledge of savings and investment products such as Discretionary & Advisory products and familiarity with financial concepts and processes
  • Experience analysing source systems and understanding the business – is high quality data needed in all situations or do we have areas where we can accept lower quality?
  • Understanding the value chain, e.g. what data is needed in each part of the value chain
  • Excellent English language skills are required
