Celem konkursu Emerging Leaders Competition jest wyłonienie studentów utalentowanych w dziedzinie finansów i zarządzania, przyszłych młodych liderów biznesu. Konkurs jest organizowany przez Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) we współpracy z wybranymi renomowanymi uczelniami krajów Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej, w tym z Uniwersytetem Łódzkim. W konkursie biorą udział zespoły składające się z 4 studentów studiów licencjackich (nie więcej, nie mniej). Każdy zespół powinien mieć lidera, nazwę i slogan. Zespoły powinny zostać zgłoszone do 15 maja 2020, przez stronę https://tiny.pl/7mfgb.
W konkursie biorą udział studenci z Polski i z innych krajów Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej. Konkurs polega na pracy nad casem wziętym z praktyki opracowanym przez CGMA. Każdy zespół otrzyma wsparcie w przygotowaniach ze strony Mentora z Wydziału Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego.
Koordynatorem programu CIMA/CGMA na Wydziale Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego oraz koordynatorem konkursu jest dr hab. Jan Michalak (jan.michalak@uni.lodz.pl).
Konkurs składa się z następujących rund:
Runda 1a – konkurs wśród studentów UŁ, który odbędzie się najprawdopodobniej on-line do końca czerwca 2020 lub na początku września 2020.
Runda 1b – konkurs międzyuczelniany, który odbędzie się w formie quizu on-line 18 września 2020 roku.
Runda 2 – 6 najlepszych zespołów konkuruje on-line w pierwszym tygodniu października 2020.
Runda 3 – 3 najlepsze zespoły konkurują bezpośrednio w Warszawie (koniec października/początek listopada 2020). Koszty przejazdu i zakwaterowania pokrywa CGMA.
Wszyscy uczestnicy otrzymają CGMA Emerging Leaders Competition certyfikaty uczestnictwa w konkursie. Zwycięskie zespoły, w każdej rundzie otrzymają dyplomy i nagrody rzeczowe. Członkowie całego konkursu otrzymują ponadto możliwości praktyk w firmach współorganizujących konkurs.
Chartered Global Management Accountant CGMA jest największą na świecie organizacją zrzeszającą specjalistów rachunkowości zarządczej, do której należy ponad 137.000 osób. Została ona utworzona w 2012 roku przez amerykańską organizację AICPA i brytyjskie stowarzyszenie CIMA w celu wyróżnienia wyjątkowej grupy specjalistów, którzy osiągnęli najwyższy poziom jakości i kompetencji (https://www.cgma.org/).

CGMA Emerging Leaders Competition
It is a business competition designed to bring out the best in young business leaders of tomorrow. It is an opportunity given to university students to showcase their talent in finance & business management.
The competition is organized by CGMA in cooperation with the chosen, renowned universities from Central and Eastern European countries, including the University of Lodz.
Chartered Global Management Accountant CGMA is the most widely held management accounting designation in the world with more than 137,000 designees. It was established in 2012 by the AICPA and CIMA to recognise a unique group of management accountants who have reached the highest benchmark of quality and competence (https://www.cgma.org/).
The competition is open to teams of 4 bachelor students (no more, no less). Each team should have a leader, name and slogan. Teams should be submitted by 15 May 2020, via https://tiny.pl/7mfgb.
The competition is open to students from Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries.
The competition consists of the work and casemate taken from the practice developed by CGMA. Each team will receive support in preparation from a Mentor from the Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz. The CGMA Emerging Leaders Competition consists of the following rounds.
Round 1a – a competition among students of the University of Łódź, which will probably take place on-line until the end of June 2020 or early September 2020
Round 1b – competition among students of various universities, which will take place in the form of an on-line quiz on 18 September 2020.
Round 2 – 6 best teams compete on-line in the first week of October 2020.
Round 3 – 3 best teams compete directly in Warsaw (end of October/beginning of November 2020). Travel and accommodation costs are covered by CGMA.
All participants will receive certificates of participation in the competition. The winning teams, in each round receive diplomas and prizes. Members of the entire competition also receive internship opportunities in the companies co-organizing the competition.
